Tangerine for Mac
Last updated 17 September 2026. Tangerine is made by Leap Studio.
Summary
Tangerine converts and edits your files entirely on your Mac. Your files, their contents, and their names are never sent to Leap Studio or to anyone else.
Leap Studio does not collect personal information through the app. Tangerine contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking.
Your files
Every conversion, compression, and edit runs on your Mac. Results are saved beside the original file. macOS asks your permission before Tangerine can save into a folder, and that permission is stored only on your Mac so the app can keep saving there. Tangerine never uploads your files, and it has no server to upload them to.
